Urge John McCain to Pledge 100% Support for the Second Amendment! - WTF!??

Quote:

Dear gun owner,

It seems everything may be on the line for gun owners in this year's election.

And after careful research on the record of the Republican nominee-to-be Senator John McCain, I have to tell you I am very concerned.

Of course, the Democrats -- Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama -- have long histories of hostility to our 2nd Amendment freedom. But McCain's history surprised even me.

Thats why the National Association for Gun Rights has prepared a 2008 Presidential Survey that will be sent to Republican candidate John McCain in the coming days.

This Presidential Survey will ask critical questions on gun rights issues like the so-called assault weapons ban and national gun registration.

Needless to say, Senator McCains answers to these questions have never been more important.

You see, Republican operatives close to McCain are telling him to ignore gun owners' concerns. These sleazy operatives say, "what are gun owners going to do, vote against you?"

Thats why its vital you sign the online petition (here: http://www.nationalgunrights.org/mccain.shtml) demanding Senator McCain pledge 100% support for the Second Amendment TODAY!

Quite simply, you and I must send Senator McCain a message: Take a CLEAR stand in favor of our gun rights or risk losing the election.

You see, with opponents of gun rights like Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid calling the shots in Congress, the gun grabbers are on the march.

But even worse, the gun control crowd is banking on the next President of the United States -- even if its John McCain -- to be one of their own.

During the Clinton-era fights over gun control, Senator McCain -- to the delight of the gun control crowd -- happily lent his maverick voice to attacks our gun rights. Senator McCain even appeared in television and radio ads in Colorado and in Oregon that advocated severely regulating gun shows and gun buyers!

But unfortunately, Senator McCains flirtation with the gun-control crowd didnt end there.

Since then, Senator McCain has voiced support for bans of cheap firearms, allied himself with the gun control group Americans for Gun Safety, backed Lock Up Your Safety schemes and even supported outright bans of some semi-automatic rifles.

In fact, Senator McCain even joined Democrat Senator Joe Lieberman in sponsoring an anti-gun compromise bill that would have allowed federal officials to prevent any gun show anywhere in the United States from happening!

Today, with the Republican Primary wrapped up, Senator McCain is no longer feeling pressure to move to the right on the gun issue.

In fact -- knowing that the eventual nominee of the Democrat Party will be no friend of the Second Amendment -- Senator McCain is no doubt receiving advice to move even farther to left!

That would be nothing short of a disaster. And thats why its vital you act TODAY!

You see -- while well gladly offer the eventual Democrat nominee the same opportunity to pledge 100% support for the Second Amendment -- its no secret both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have never been supporters of gun rights.

Their record of opposition to the Second Amendment is long and devastating.

But if you and I dont act immediately, and FORCE John McCain to a clear stand in support for the Second Amendment, the gun control crowd may find they have an ally in the White House regardless of whos elected in November.

Should the gun grabbers succeed in seizing control of the Presidency and increasing their majorities in Congress, you and I know what will come next:

* Passage of a federal waiting period -- putting gun owners to put up with even more bureaucratic rigmarole just to buy a gun to protect themselves and their families;

* A total nationwide ban on private gun sales -- criminalizing all gun sales without federal government licensing;

* The Semi-Automatic Rifle Ban revived - setting the stage for even more bans and restrictions of entire classes of firearms.

The good news is the Presidential bids of both Al Gore and John Kerry proved the power of the gun issue in Presidential elections.

So quite simply, if Senator McCain is going to be President, he needs the votes of Second Amendment supporters.

So what you and I need to do is show Senator McCain he cannot take the votes of Second Amendment supporters for granted by forcing him to answer his Presidential Survey in 100% support of our gun rights.

To put it bluntly, Senator McCain must know that flip-flopping around on the gun issue could have severe consequences come November.

Considering Senator McCains record moving back and forth on the gun issue, our job wont be easy, but right now may be our best opportunity.

You see, with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama continuing to bloody themselves in the race for the Democrat nomination for President, Senator McCain is hopeful he can skate by with only positive national media attention.

The last thing Senator McCain wants is rumors to begin flying around about how he has failed to solidify his base.

So any pressure we can put on Senator McCain now will have a major impact.

Thats why the National Association for Gun Rights is contacting Second Amendment supporters like you from all over the United States to turn up the heat on Senator McCain.

Over the next few weeks, the National Association for Gun Rights will launch a nationwide mobilization effort using phone banks and direct mail to turn up the heat on Senator McCain.

This effort wont be cheap, but its critical.

The gun control crowd is doing everything they can to ensure that theyre the ones setting the agenda after the 2008 elections. Thats why you and I have no choice but to fight back.

To help in this effort -- in addition to signing the online petition -- it is my hope youll agree to make a generous contribution by clicking here: https://gunrights.ejoinme.org/MyPage...0/Default.aspx.

Believe me, I know thats a lot, but the future of our gun rights could very well hang in the balance.

Please consider a contribution of you can best afford, by clicking here: https://gunrights.ejoinme.org/MyPage...0/Default.aspx

Theres too much at stake in 2008 to ignore John McCains record on gun rights and simply hope hell do the right thing if elected.

The good news is when politicians become candidates, they listen more closely to what the people have to say.

So now is the time to take action, Please sign the petition to Senator McCain and rush me your most generous contribution by clicking here: http://www.nationalgunrights.org/mccain.shtml

Thanks again for your work in defense of the right to arms.

Sincerely,

Dudley Brown
Executive Director

P.S. The gun grabbers would love nothing more than for the Presidential candidates of BOTH political parties to support their agenda.

Sadly, Senator McCain has often stood in open opposition to the Second Amendment. Now, Republican advisors are urging him to completely ignore gun owners' concerns.

Thats why its vital you sign the online petition to Senator McCain, urging him to answer his Candidate Survey in 100% support of our gun rights by clicking here: http://www.nationalgunrights.org/mccain.shtml.

Please also agree to make a generous contribution to make this effort possible TODAY!

I for one won't put my name on any list requesting anything from that snake. I sent ole' Dudley a piece of my mind on the whole subject, but doubt it'll get to him. If you ask me, it's coming time to lay down the pens and keyboards and figure out what this whole 2nd amendment thing's all about...

Dudley is the Prez of RMGOA. He's a nice guy, but like John McCain is willing to make a deal with a lot of unsavory people.

And don't worry. WE ARE.

Our founding fathers must be spinning in their graves because today is the day we, as Americans, are signing petitions to stop them from taking our guns! WTF?!?

Oh please. Like he couldn't pledge 100% support and then completely change his position after he is elected?

What promise have politicians EVER kept that they made before they were elected? EVER?
